Marcello Martins works with photography as a form of permanence: images of travel, architecture, nature and urban culture made to coexist with space.
Process
Between movement, silence and choice.
Based in Brasília, Marcello developed his visual language while travelling through 44 countries. The portfolio brings together cities, landscapes, rivers, streets and architecture, and this research also resulted in a photo book about Cuba. Each work is edited for scale, paper, contrast and breathing room.
Acquiring a print starts with conversation: understanding the wall, the room, the viewing distance and the kind of presence the image needs to hold.
